This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of content creation across various formats including long-form (blog posts, SEO articles, reports, thought leadership pieces) and short-form (advertisements, emails, social media, landing page copy, in-product messaging).
• Proficiently utilize AI writing tools to draft, revise, and scale content — while ensuring you are the final editor and quality assurance before any material is published.
• Convert briefs, strategy documents, and campaign inputs into structured, brand-aligned prompts and workflows that yield first drafts ready for editing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to uncover narratives within datasets — transforming survey results, product usage patterns, or research findings into engaging stories for non-technical audiences.
• Convert raw data into captivating headlines, frameworks, and angles — moving beyond mere captions for charts.
• Maintain and refine a repository of prompt frameworks, brand standards, and content reference materials accessible to any AI tool.
• Create and oversee a content calendar in partnership with campaign and channel leaders.
• Adjust tone and format according to channel and audience while preserving our voice: the same witty, human, and reliably curious tone should resonate naturally in a LinkedIn post, a product email, and a 2,000-word report.
• Collaborate with brand and creative teams to ensure AI-generated output retains our unique personality.
• Identify and rectify the tell-tale signs of generic AI content before it contributes to the overall content quality.
• Over 5 years of content writing experience, with a portfolio demonstrating versatility in both long-form and short-form formats.
• Proven proficiency with AI writing tools (we utilize Claude and Gemini) as an integral part of your writing methodology, not merely as a novelty.
• A true editorial instinct: you can identify when content is too vague, overly cautious, or evidently machine-generated, and you address these issues proactively.
• Established capability to work with data — you can analyze spreadsheets, research reports, or findings from data scientists to derive publishable insights.
• Familiarity with data visualization concepts and the skill to write copy that contextualizes and enhances charts rather than simply labeling them.
• Experience in writing for a SaaS or technology brand, particularly within a marketing framework.
• Comfort with SEO principles and crafting content for organic search visibility.
• Ability to deeply internalize a brand voice to replicate it across various contexts and tools — and to impart that voice to an AI.
• Strong project management skills: you are capable of managing multiple active briefs, identifying obstacles early, and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• A preference for specificity. Generic thought leadership does not align with our approach. We seek a strong, courageous, and helpful point of view.
• Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
• RRSP matching.
• Flexible spending & health savings account.
• Paid holidays.
• Paid time off.
• Employee assistance program.
• Additional company benefits.
