This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Supervise the development of training curriculum and instructional materials for various audiences.
• Evaluate training requirements and aid in creating onboarding, optical, business acumen, and leadership development learning initiatives.
• Track and report on the effectiveness of training programs.
• Design instructional strategies, course content, assessment methods, and the integration of instructional technology for eLearning, virtual sessions, facilitated training, and published resources.
• Partner with HR, Learning and Development, business leaders, and subject matter experts to create, develop, and implement learning solutions.
• Oversee instructional design projects from start to finish.
• Identify and support the technology needed for remote training sessions.
• Manage several training projects, coordinate resources and vendors, address challenges, and ensure timely delivery.
• Follow up on learning initiatives to determine further development needs.
• Create, deliver, and maintain materials and resources for leadership development.
• Identify and engage external training venues as required.
• Provide constructive feedback on training materials and courses.
• Design and facilitate training courses and train-the-trainer programs.
• Contribute to strategies for eLearning, mobile learning, and virtual classroom platforms.
• Review and adjust learning activities as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Instructional Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in content/instructional design.
• Proven experience in creating and executing multi-unit, multimedia training programs.
• Strong understanding of training development best practices, adult learning theories, learning styles, and crafting effective objectives.
• Previous experience in training or developing others is highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Training and Development functions and practices.
• Experience in project management and vendor relations supporting complete implementation cycles.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong presentation capabilities and the ability to address groups, conduct high-level meetings, and persuade effectively.
• Ability to adjust to different learner styles and capabilities.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and the capability to apply them in workplace scenarios.
• Willingness to travel to observe training content and measure learning effectiveness while providing feedback.
• Competence in managing training budgets efficiently.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is required.
• Proficient in Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and Vyond.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with advanced capabilities in PowerPoint.
