This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the principal manager of DMA’s proposal and RFP response process, overseeing submissions from initial intake to final delivery.
• Organize proposal timelines, assign responsibilities, and track deliverables to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
• Convert intricate technical, regulatory, and service-line content into compelling, clear proposal narratives.
• Guarantee that proposal and RFP responses meet client requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines.
• Uphold proposal quality, consistency, and compliance for all submissions.
• Draft, edit, and enhance proposal narratives, executive summaries, project descriptions, expert profiles, and other relevant content.
• Ensure all proposal and RFP response content is consistent with DMA’s brand voice, messaging standards, and value proposition.
• Review and quality-check proposals and RFP responses for clarity, accuracy, formatting, and completeness before submission.
• Efficiently integrate feedback while maintaining narrative coherence and clarity.
• Collaborate closely with Business Development, Marketing, and service line subject matter experts to gather insights and input.
• Lead working sessions and follow-ups with contributors to adhere to proposal deadlines.
• Provide guidance to internal contributors regarding proposal structure, tone, and best practices.
• Function as the central communication point for all proposal-related activities.
• Organize and maintain a centralized proposal content library, including expert profiles, project descriptions, and boilerplate materials.
• Revise templates, tools, and reference materials to enhance proposal efficiency and consistency.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in proposal workflows, processes, and tools over time.
• Assist in standardizing proposal best practices and minimizing re-work.
• Support additional marketing content initiatives as capacity allows, such as thought leadership, marketing collateral, or internal communications.
• Aid in content drafting, editing, or coordination for marketing initiatives outside of proposals.
• Work with content and design teams to ensure consistency across proposal and marketing materials.
• Stay updated on proposal best practices, industry trends, and client expectations within professional services.
• Suggest enhancements to proposal strategy, messaging, and presentation based on outcomes and feedback.
• Perform other assigned duties.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in proposal management, professional services marketing, or content development.
• Proven experience managing RFPs or complex proposals in a B2B or professional services setting.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Capability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various disciplines.
• Familiarity with editorial style guides (AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience supporting proposal efforts or marketing in consulting, tax, engineering, legal, or other professional services is preferred.
• Familiarity with proposal management tools, CRM systems, or content libraries is preferred.
• Experience contributing to broader marketing or content initiatives is a plus.
• Proficiency with management platforms (ClickUp, Monday, Asana, etc.) is preferred.
