This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Act as the editor and publisher for content in the financial services sector, aimed at business and technology leaders within global financial institutions.
• Identify essential content assets and define team responsibilities for writing, editing, and publishing.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, marketing teams, and digital leads to create an editorial calendar that aligns with business goals.
• Establish and oversee a network of writers specializing in banking, capital markets, insurance, and asset management.
• Manage a content operations manager and designers while actively participating in content creation and editing.
• Create and sustain an annual editorial plan and thematic content calendar that aligns with strategic objectives.
• Ensure all content outputs maintain a consistent tone, voice, and brand alignment.
• Evaluate content performance and enhance messaging to boost engagement and impact.
• Assist in the localization of global content to support regional and country marketing initiatives.
• Work collaboratively across functions to implement the comprehensive content marketing strategy.
• Utilize both traditional and digital content formats to improve audience engagement and communication efficacy.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in editorial, communications, or content marketing positions with increasing responsibility.
• A solid foundation in content marketing with a proven track record of engaging business audiences through strategic storytelling.
• Experience collaborating directly with subject matter experts from the initial concept stage through to final publication.
• Capability to blend strategic thinking with practical execution in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated proficiency in crafting compelling narratives, campaigns, and content that showcase trends, outcomes, and client success stories.
