This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the ultimate authority on all client copy assigned, ensuring it meets both strategic and quality standards.
• Assess copy to confirm alignment with client strategy, brand voice, tone, and overall content objectives.
• Evaluate content for reader engagement, conducting quality assurance checks on structure, flow, and strategic impact.
• Verify that the copy adheres to on-page SEO/GEO best practices, including correct keyword integration, internal linking, readability, and optimization of page elements like meta titles and descriptions.
• Conduct thorough fact-checking to ensure the accuracy of names, statistics, claims, dates, and references, ensuring they are properly sourced.
• Provide clear, actionable, and constructive feedback along with strategic coaching to writers, highlighting issues for their resolution rather than making direct edits.
• Collaborate with managers, designers, and writers to identify strategic gaps, structural enhancements, and content quality improvements to better meet client objectives.
• Oversee, maintain, and continually enhance our AI editing tool, Grammarly, to ensure compliance with client style guides throughout the writing process.
• Actively support Siege Learning & Development initiatives related to content production and quality, with a focus on AI advancements.
• Meet project deadlines while achieving utilization targets.
• Edit and review Digital PR campaign materials, including press pitches, data studies, expert commentary, survey reports, and media-facing content.
• Ensure PR content is accurate, engaging, concise, and meets publication standards and journalist expectations.
• Review design concepts and visual suggestions to ensure they enhance and elevate written content.
• Offer constructive feedback and editorial coaching to writers to improve writing quality, storytelling, and content effectiveness.
• Efficiently manage multiple deadlines and projects while upholding utilization and quality standards.
• Provide a dependable, solutions-oriented approach to aid clients in enhancing their organic presence and brand visibility.
• 3–5 years of experience in content editing, digital publishing, journalism, content marketing, and public relations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong command of AP style.
• Proficient in editing and optimizing digital content, including long-form guides, thought leadership articles, comparison posts, trend reports, infographics, and SEO-focused pieces.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and how content contributes to organic growth.
• Experience in editing or reviewing PR-focused materials such as press releases, media pitches, expert commentary, or data-driven campaigns.
• Ability to adjust tone, complexity, and structure according to audience, publication standards, and client requirements.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize multiple deadlines and quickly switch between various client projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fully remote setting.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and project management tools.
• Capability to provide thoughtful, actionable editorial feedback to writers and team members.
• 3-5 years of experience in an agency environment.
