• Serve as the final authority on all assigned client copy, ensuring both strategic alignment and quality standards.
• Evaluate copy to guarantee it adheres to client strategy, brand voice, tone, and overarching content objectives.
• Analyze copy to ensure it is reader-focused, conducting quality assurance checks to assess content structure, flow, and strategic effectiveness.
• Verify that copy complies with on-page SEO/GEO best practices, including appropriate keyword integration, internal linking, readability, and optimized page elements like meta titles and meta descriptions.
• Conduct thorough fact-checking of copy to ensure all names, statistics, claims, dates, and references are accurate and well-sourced.
• Provide clear, actionable, and constructive feedback along with strategic coaching to writers, identifying issues for them to resolve instead of making direct edits.
• Collaborate with managers, designers, and writers to address strategic gaps, structural enhancements, and content quality, thereby improving content execution and meeting client objectives.
• Oversee and continually refine our AI editing tool, Grammarly, to ensure adherence to client style guides throughout the writing process, including grammar, spelling, and mechanical edits, as well as addressing client-specific nuances or recurring feedback.
• Actively support Siege Learning & Development initiatives focused on content production and quality, particularly in relation to AI enhancements.
• Meet project deadlines while achieving utilization goals.
• Edit and review Digital PR campaign materials, including press pitches, data studies, expert commentary, survey reports, and media-facing content.
• Ensure that PR content is accurate, engaging, concise, and meets publication standards and journalist expectations.
• Review design guidelines and visual suggestions to ensure they enhance and support the written content.
• Offer constructive feedback and editorial guidance to writers to enhance writing quality, storytelling, and content performance.
• Effectively manage multiple deadlines and projects while upholding utilization and quality standards.
• Provide a reliable, solutions-oriented approach to assist clients in enhancing their organic presence and brand visibility.
• 3–5 years of experience in content editing, digital publishing, journalism, content marketing, or public relations.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong command of AP style guidelines.
• Proven experience in editing and optimizing digital content, including long-form guides, thought leadership pieces, comparison articles, trend reports, infographics, and SEO-driven content.
• Strong grasp of SEO fundamentals and how content contributes to organic growth.
• Experience in editing or reviewing PR-related content such as press releases, media pitches, expert commentary, or data-driven campaigns.
• Ability to adjust tone, complexity, and structure according to audience, publication standards, and client requirements.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and quickly shift between various client projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a fully remote work environment.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and project management tools.
