Content Automation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Streamlining production, indexing, and validation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Investigating the capabilities and practicality of automated solutions for content creation.

• Maintaining existing solutions while exploring and developing new ones.

• Reviewing and refining a rule-based, text-derived automated indexing system.

• Engaging in the analysis of automated indexing data.

• Assisting in the development, documentation, and implementation of guidelines and standards for indexing, classification, and checktag within Content Management.

• Collaborating closely with the Taxonomist to enhance and develop existing thesaurus terms.

• Evaluating outputs for feasibility and participating in the continuous quality assurance and enhancement of automated solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology (strongly preferred) or a closely related field in social science or library science.

• Over 5 years of experience in database production, taxonomy/ontology, or other controlled indexing data.

• Proven experience with rule-based and/or generative AI-based technologies in indexing and process automation.

• Familiarity with PsycInfo indexing rules and the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms (strongly preferred).

• Extensive expertise in indexing within psychology or a closely related social science, or back-of-the-book indexing (psychology preferred) may be taken into account.

• Demonstrated experience with information retrieval systems and practices.
