This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver customer service in a call center setting
• Handle and respond to phone inquiries from policyholders, beneficiaries, providers, agents, and others
• Offer information and assistance related to Medicare Supplement and Life Policies
• Confirm benefits and provide claims status updates by accessing and updating data in software systems
• Investigate company records to address insurance-related inquiries
• Execute routine transactions and retrieve outcomes from an online terminal
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company products and services
• Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and private health information regulations
• Communicate written and oral updates regarding inquiry status and resolutions
• Initiate and finalize Call Tracks, checklists, and clerical tasks
• Work various shifts as necessary
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
• A minimum of six months of relevant call center experience and/or training
• Ability to successfully pass background checks and drug screenings pre and post hiring, including THC
• Verification of high school, GED, or college diploma when requested
• Timely provision of responses from three professional references
• Proficiency in typing at least 30 words per minute with 95% accuracy
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
• Capability to work remotely and independently
• A dedicated remote workspace that is free from background noise, interruptions, and clutter
• Consistent and reliable internet connection and access to a smartphone for Multi-Factor Authentication and communication
• Accurate data entry skills in a Windows-based environment
• Intermediate proficiency in computer skills
• Basic skills in math, English spelling, and grammar
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
• Capability to write basic correspondence and effectively present information
• Proficiency in performing arithmetic calculations, computing rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs
• Ability to apply common-sense reasoning to detailed written or spoken directives and resolve standardized issues
• Capacity to sit for extended periods while using a computer and phone line
• Ability to read, hear, speak, use a keyboard, reason, and problem solve
• Familiarity with office equipment such as computers, telephones, and copiers
• Option for remote work
