Consumer Product Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Provide legal counsel on all aspects related to product development and user experience, encompassing consumer protection, e-commerce, auto-renewals, disclosures, advertising law, and platform-specific regulations (such as Apple and Google).

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, marketing, and content teams to deliver clear and actionable legal insights across various product lines and jurisdictions.

• Evaluate and offer advice on sign-up processes, cancellation procedures, upselling strategies, monetization approaches, and content usage.

• Keep abreast of changing global regulations (including FTC, DSA, ROSCA, GPSR, UK DMCCA) and assist in translating these into compliance strategies that are ready for product implementation.

• Contribute to the development and scaling of our legal processes, templates, and risk frameworks in partnership with privacy, content safety, and commercial legal teams.

• Recognize and address legal risks early in the product lifecycle, promoting innovative solutions that enable smart advancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed attorney (EU or equivalent) with 4-6 years of experience, including some time spent in-house at a technology or digital consumer organization.

• Knowledgeable about evolving global regulations, particularly with a strong emphasis on the EU and the US.

• Comprehensive understanding of consumer protection laws, digital products, and regulatory frameworks impacting product design and marketing.

• Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and influencing product and marketing strategies at scale.

• Proficient in providing practical, risk-balanced legal advice under tight deadlines.

• Possess a builder’s mindset, enjoying structure while also thriving in uncertain situations.

• Familiarity with global subscription models, health tech, or wellness products is advantageous.

• A collaborative team player with high emotional intelligence and a natural curiosity for product functionality.
