This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.
• Lead the technical process aimed at establishing a sustainable financing mechanism for the AMP of Rapa Nui.
• Develop a detailed work plan that includes timelines, milestones, responsible parties, and coordination mechanisms.
• Create a prioritization and feasibility matrix for financial mechanisms.
• Reach consensus and define a short, medium, and long-term roadmap for the design and implementation of financial mechanisms.
• Lead the inter-institutional linkage process with key stakeholders and manage the formalization of agreements.
• Prepare progress reports and a final report detailing the elements required for the operation of the mechanism.
• Degree in Economics, Business Engineering, Finance, Administration, or related fields.
• Specialized knowledge in: Environmental Finance, Financial Sustainability, Environmental Resource Economics, and/or Natural Resource Economics is desirable.
• Over 6 years of professional experience (senior profile).
• Knowledge of regulatory aspects of financial instruments related to the environment.
• Previous experience working with local communities and/or indigenous peoples.
• Proficiency in the Rapa Nui language.
• Prior experience working with the Rapa Nui community.
• Experience in: Environmental Conservation/Biodiversity, Public Policies, Marine Areas, or Protected Territories is desirable.
• Languages: Spanish: native, English: intermediate–advanced (mandatory).
• An additional week of vacation (the last week of the year, subject to project conditions).
• Early dismissal on Fridays at 1:00 PM.
• Birthday off.
• Semi-annual adjustment based on IPC (for indefinite contracts with more than 6 months in the institution).
• Travel expenses covered.
