This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
• Report directly to the Senior Manager of GIS Consulting.
• Execute consulting projects by developing strategies and solutions that enhance revenue and shareholder value for customers.
• Provide assistance to clients with indirect materials supply chain consulting, which includes the development of eCommerce strategies, evaluation of Grainger product/service solutions, technical integration, and documented cost savings, including the establishment of baselines.
• Identify opportunities to minimize costs associated with procuring indirect materials while boosting sales through reduced operating expenses and improved cash management.
• Lead and perform customer discovery and data analysis across indirect materials, MRO, procurement, inventory, and operational processes to uncover value creation opportunities within National Accounts, Government, and Healthcare sectors.
• Produce clear value documentation that quantifies cost savings, productivity improvements, and operational impacts for clients.
• Consistently define, measure, and report value across customer engagements to ensure governance and accountability.
• Oversee consulting engagements from the definition of scope through delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines, deliverables, and GCS expectations.
• Deliver MRO/Solution opportunity analytics, stimulate demand generation, and implement engagement strategies by collaborating with Grainger sales teams and internal stakeholders to develop MRO solutions that foster revenue growth.
• Propel customer change management business solutions and recommendations by executing implementation project plans to expedite the adoption and realization of documented value and solution integrations.
• Develop and implement MRO/Customer insights to promote continuous improvement for all customer deliverables and case studies for marketing purposes within Grainger.
• A Bachelor's Degree is required.
• A Master's Degree is preferred.
• Over 5 years of eCommerce experience is preferred.
• Experience in delivering consulting, analytical, or operational improvement initiatives in supply chain, procurement, operations, or indirect materials environments.
• Proven track record of managing customer-facing consulting projects with defined scopes, deliverables, and timelines through change management activities.
• Ability to translate data into insights and produce clear, customer-ready value documentation.
• A continuous improvement mindset, including value-based consulting supported by financial skills, using data-driven analysis and compelling storytelling to achieve results.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
