This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Oversee the implementation of Cayenta CIS software and professional services from the initial phase to go-live and subsequent stabilization.
• Supervise and mentor Application Consultants and project personnel at various consulting levels.
• Provide guidance and oversight for multiple concurrent Cayenta CIS implementations.
• Allocate and manage consulting resources effectively across client projects.
• Track team performance metrics, utilization, billability, ticket trends, and incidents, and present findings to senior leadership.
• Promote standardized delivery frameworks, fit-to-standard configurations, industry templates, and user adoption through training.
• Lead the development of complex or greenfield CIS solutions, including custom modifications, new utility types, regulatory environments, and integrations.
• Evaluate CIS configuration, integration design, and strategies for data conversion.
• Enhance implementation methodologies, documentation practices, and staff training programs.
• Facilitate client workshops to gather configuration or customization requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and other departments for seamless sales-to-services transitions and post-go-live support.
• Conduct retrospectives after implementation and manage handoffs to Customer Support.
• Establish, monitor, and manage project budgets, cost estimates, allocations, project health, milestones, go-lives, and variance reports.
• Build and maintain client relationships, executive communications, steering committee updates, delivery risk management, mitigation strategies, change control, and escalations.
• Organize and deliver training for internal consultants and sessions for the Harris user conference.
• Advocate for AI-assisted tools in the creation of statements of work, status reports, test documentation, meeting summaries, and variance analysis.
• Create best practices, standards, and processes for the Cayenta professional services team.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional services or consulting role, preferably in utility or municipal software implementations.
• At least 4 years of experience in a senior or managing consultant position, demonstrating a successful track record in 4 or more complex CIS implementation projects or 20+ successful upgrades, or 2+ years of formal leadership experience for candidates with a focus on people management.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent software implementation projects for utility or municipal clients effectively.
• Familiarity with the utility customer-to-cash lifecycle and/or public sector implementation environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing project P&L, budget forecasting, consultant utilization, and contract scope control.
• Solid understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid software implementation methodologies.
• Experience with PSA/project and test management tools, such as Jira, CayStone/SpiraTest, ServiceNow, Power BI, and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to manage executive client relationships and cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships.
• Possession of a current, valid passport.
• Legally eligible for international travel, including necessary visa exemptions or travel visas for Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.
