This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Evaluate patients referred to the General Adult service across Private, Insurer Pay, RTC, and/or NHS contracts.
• Offer clinical guidance, conduct investigations, provide interventions, and hold routine review appointments.
• Dispense private prescriptions when necessary, adhering to service protocols and regulatory standards.
• Accurately complete clinical documentation and administrative tasks within established timelines, including assessment letters within five calendar days.
• Keep precise and up-to-date patient records.
• Respond to patient notes, messages, and communications from the multidisciplinary team by the assigned deadlines.
• Operate in alignment with Psychiatry UK’s clinical governance framework, policies, and procedures.
• Quickly escalate incidents, safeguarding issues, and patient safety risks.
• Uphold information security and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Stay informed about relevant service, policy, and clinical governance updates.
• Organize and manage workload to fulfill agreed service requirements.
• Maintain accountability for professional and clinical decision-making within the scope of practice.
• GMC registration with a license to practice.
• Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in General Adult Psychiatry.
• Substantial experience in General Adult Psychiatry.
• Extensive experience in assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of adult mental health conditions.
• Proficiency in developing treatment and management plans, including prescribing when clinically appropriate.
• Capability to assess and manage clinical risks, including safeguarding and escalation of concerns.
• Ability to work independently and make safe, evidence-based clinical decisions.
• Strong written communication and clinical documentation abilities.
• Competent in using electronic patient record systems and delivering care in a digital setting.
• Experience providing high-quality patient care in a remote service.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Excellent communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Dependability, responsiveness, and capacity to manage clinical and administrative duties within established service timelines.
• Ability to maintain CPD and annual appraisal requirements.
• Ability to ensure information security and confidentiality when handling patient information.
• Flexible additional capacity work during times of significant growth and increased patient demand.
• Remote, home-based working within the UK.
