
Consultant – Design and Implementation of ACSL Impact Studies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Africa.
• Serve as the independent technical lead for the design and execution of ACSL’s six impact studies.
• Ensure methodological consistency, quality assurance, and alignment with ACSL’s Theory of Change.
• Utilize contribution-focused, mixed-methods, and Afrocentric analytical strategies throughout the project portfolio.
• Produce high-quality evidence outputs to guide learning, influence policy, and ensure the sustainability of the Centre.
• Collaborate with governmental bodies and regional institutions to improve school leadership, teaching practices, and student outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in school leadership and/or evaluating education systems, ideally within the African context.
• In-depth knowledge of school leadership, professional development, and policy reform.
• Proven ability to apply mixed-methods, contribution analysis, and systems evaluation techniques.
• Familiarity with gender-transformative and equity-oriented research methodologies.
• Strong grasp of Afrocentric and contextually relevant leadership frameworks.
• Capability to oversee multi-country, multi-study evaluation portfolios.
• Exceptional skills in analytical writing and knowledge dissemination.
