• Contribute to the creation and ongoing enhancement of data protection frameworks (Data Protection Management System - DSMS) and related processes.
• Act as an officially appointed external Data Protection Officer for clients.
• Develop and sustain documentation (e.g., Records of Processing Activities, policies, roles, practical evidence of compliance).
• Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs): preparation, facilitation, and documentation.
• Provide training and awareness sessions designed to simplify data protection concepts and integrate them effectively into daily operations.
• Serve as a liaison with information/IT security and compliance: interpret requirements among business, technical teams, and regulators in an audience-appropriate manner.
• Perform privacy/data protection audits and/or support clients during inspections and assessments.
• Engage in internal projects, organize and consolidate cross-functional knowledge, and contribute to the evolution of our consulting methodology.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a consulting environment, providing advice on data protection, data security, and/or compliance.
• Degree or equivalent experience in one or more of our primary fields, such as IT security, (business) computer science, business administration, or security management.
• Familiarity with standards and regulations: Essential knowledge of GDPR and national data protection laws.
• Desirable: ISO 27701, ISO 27018, EU AI Regulation (AI Act), among others.
• Certification as a Data Protection Officer is required.
• Preferred: Certification as a data protection auditor.
• Practical mindset with the capacity to translate intricate legal requirements into clear, prioritized actions.
• Ability to establish and nurture long-term client relationships founded on trust and mutual respect.
• Readiness to assume independent responsibility for projects and clients.
• Strong self-management skills and a methodical, analytical approach to tasks.
• Collaborative team player mentality.
• Proficient German language skills and competent English language skills.
