Consultant – Associate Track

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Compose and manage client communications and follow-up initiatives

• Create action items derived from meetings alongside compliance documentation

• Assist with menu planning, nutrient analysis, and the crediting of recipes

• Aid in SNP/CACFP Administrative and Procurement Reviews

• Collaborate on special projects, resource management tools, and state reporting tasks

• Play a role in the development and implementation of consulting strategies

• Provide coverage for experienced consultants during their absences

• Facilitate and lead client meetings, mainly conducted via Zoom

• Offer guidance to school nutrition directors regarding USDA and State regulations (CDE)

• Prepare clients for Administrative and Procurement Reviews

• Contribute to initiatives like CEP/P2, bids and procurement, and farm-to-school programs

• Create training materials, tools, and resources

• Assist in webinars and conferences

• Enhance tools, systems, and content

• Present at webinars and conferences

• Mentor and support new consultants

• Collaborate within consulting pods and assist in shared delivery

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

• Registered Dietitian and/or previous experience with a State Agency conducting SNP Administrative Reviews

• Over 5 years of experience in school nutrition (district, State, or USDA)

• Extensive background in menu planning and compliance

• Excellent communication skills, particularly in digital formats like Zoom and email

• Proven problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail

• Highly organized, adaptable, collaborative, resourceful, and humble

• Native or fluent Spanish proficiency, capable of delivering training and consulting in Spanish (preferred)

• Must have a home office setup, including a computer

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time

• Availability needed until 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time
