This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +2 more states.
• Provide support for construction projects from contract initiation through to completion.
• Oversee project resources, timelines, budgets, quality assurance, and safety measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize BuilderTrend to monitor project advancement, manage documentation, and enhance communication.
• Address project issues, risks, and change requests to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Confirm that all required deliverables conform to quality, time, and cost parameters while optimizing customer satisfaction.
• Set and uphold safety standards in accordance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Supervise and manage direct reports effectively.
• Develop or assist in creating Scopes of Work, delineating responsibilities, and formulating proposals for larger projects.
• Direct scheduling, budgeting, and documentation management from contract signing to project completion.
• Inspire and lead project teams to meet targets and achieve milestones.
• Monitor and report on project performance and metrics.
• Recruit, manage, and mentor project support personnel, including project managers, superintendents, and administrative staff.
• Source subcontractors and suppliers within designated timelines and budget constraints.
• Conduct project team meetings and oversee daily project activities and resource management.
• Communicate project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to regional leadership through BuilderTrend.
• Assist clients in achieving their objectives through functional and financial analysis while adhering to industry best practices and company risk thresholds.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and manage any changes effectively.
• Facilitate safety tailgate meetings at each project phase or shift.
• Ensure compliance of job site activities with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
• 5–8 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Exceptional leadership, written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven and decisive, capable of adapting to changes and competing priorities.
• Technical expertise in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management software.
• Strong team-building abilities with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Proven experience working independently as well as in collaborative, team-based settings.
• Excellent skills in prioritization and time management.
• Knowledge of safety field concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong organizational and customer service capabilities.
• Proficient negotiation skills with clients and vendors/subcontractors.
• Capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Experience in directing the work of others to ensure project success.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans effectively.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must reside within the Maryland/Virginia area.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
• Willingness to travel regionally to job sites, approximately 50% of the time.
• Physical capability to perform prolonged activities, walk or stand for extended periods, navigate construction sites, climb stairs and ladders, handle tools and materials, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, at elevated heights, and in diverse weather, noise, odor, dust, or fume conditions.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or provide emergency on-call support as needed.
