This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee daily administrative and technical management of construction projects aimed at achieving energy savings.
• Collaborate with the Engineering and Construction Team on project design and development covering scope, subcontractor selection, cost estimation, installation, project scheduling, commissioning, startup, operations, and maintenance.
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing, optimal scheduling, and timely delivery of all project-related equipment, supply installations, and construction services.
• Supervise vendors and subcontractors to guarantee quality control and timely project delivery within budget constraints.
• Provide continuous project status updates to all stakeholders throughout the design and construction phases.
• Assess technologies and equipment; recommend the most appropriate options for each application.
• Direct the implementation of site safety and health plans, operations and maintenance manuals, and training initiatives.
• Generate project reports, documentation, technical assistance, support, and collaboration efforts.
• Manage project teams and resources, including expenditure tracking and job cost accounting processes.
• Ensure adherence to company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes.
• Cultivate positive and effective business relationships throughout all levels and phases of the project.
• Willing to travel up to 50% of the time to support operations.
• Associate’s degree in construction management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least five (5) years of federal construction experience in electrical, mechanical, or industrial power project management.
• Proven track record of leading and managing construction teams and resources on complex USACE or NAVFAC federal construction projects is preferred.
• Experience with medium voltage electrical work is advantageous.
• Progressive experience in construction project management involving direct digital energy controls systems, variable frequency drives, high-efficiency motors, central plant chiller and boiler installations, lighting retrofits, renewable energy technology, and warranty and service requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in remote job sites with challenging logistical coordination is preferred.
• Solid experience in implementing OSHA safety standards, as well as mechanical and electrical systems development, engineering, and project management regulations, practices, and codes.
• Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Project, P6, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Procore software is highly desirable.
• Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing, issued by the resident state.
• Ability to review confidential US security information is mandatory.
