This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee all phases of construction projects, from initial concept to final completion.
• Ensure timely, clear, and transparent communication with operations and all stakeholders.
• Manage general contractors, engineers, architects, and vendors to successfully execute construction projects while adhering to contract requirements.
• Collaborate with 7-Eleven’s Environmental consultant to guarantee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Evaluate project performance using Key Performance Indicators for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Demonstrate the ability to develop project plans, which may include a project charter, schedule, responsibility matrix, risk management plan, communication management plan, and stakeholder register.
• Facilitate site surveys, conduct due diligence on conditions, and create the scope of work.
• Maintain financial responsibility, including estimates, budget creation, change orders, invoice evaluation, and project closure.
• Lead the design review process to ensure alignment with defined scope and specifications for approvals.
• Guide the permitting process and assist in negotiations with relevant regulatory authorities and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) as necessary.
• Manage the bid process and provide recommendations for contractor selection.
• Offer field oversight and guidance throughout the execution phase, from preconstruction to the final required inspections and occupancy.
• Generate site-specific, accurate equipment take-offs and orders for each project.
• Responsible for regular updates, including percent of completion, estimated turnover date to operations, actual costs, and cost projections.
• Ensure that vendors perform work that meets time and quality objectives, addressing and rectifying under-performance issues.
• Responsible for minimizing, documenting, and ensuring the timely resolution of all project deficiencies.
• Foster a safety-oriented culture in line with department guidelines.
• Transition projects to stakeholders following the successful completion of commissioning protocols.
• Experience in construction and project management.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Alternatively: High School diploma/GED with equivalent experience or 4+ years of US military service.
• Operational experience in convenience stores, fueling, or quick service restaurants.
• Knowledge of accessibility and life safety regulations and their applications.
• Proficiency in installing and maintaining retail (UST) fueling systems.
• Familiarity with refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Additional relevant certifications or education are beneficial for this role.
