Construction Estimating Career Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.

📋 Description

• Conduct a live, one-hour workshop on a monthly basis.

• Respond to student inquiries pertaining to construction estimating and job searching.

• Provide practical insights into the realities of entry-level estimating positions.

• Clarify how estimating functions within actual construction settings (General Contractors, subcontractors, specialty trades).

• Review common tools, workflows, and expectations in the industry.

• Offer optional one-on-one coaching to students upon request.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in construction estimating.

• Background in estimating for General Contractors, subcontractors, or specialty trades (such as concrete, electrical, mechanical, roofing, etc.).

• Proficiency with estimating tools like Excel, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar programs.

• Solid understanding of entry-level positions such as Estimating Assistant, Junior Estimator, or Project Coordinator.

• Passion for mentoring and assisting those transitioning careers.

• Excellent communication and teaching skills.

• Availability for at least three evenings each week, preferably from Tuesday to Thursday.

• Self-motivated mindset — capable of independently leading workshops.
