Construction Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee transportation construction projects for ITD and LHTAC.

• Supervise Construction Inspection personnel and provide daily guidance and mentorship.

• Manage project scope, timeline, and budget, including contract administration and documentation.

• Collaborate with contractors, local highway districts, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

• Ensure all construction activities adhere to ITD and LHTAC standards and specifications.

• Assess contractor work, quantities, and payment applications for accuracy and compliance.

• Monitor contractor performance and address field issues in partnership with project teams.

• Engage in field reviews, project meetings, and coordination with stakeholders.

• Utilize project management and documentation tools such as AASHTOWare, ProjectWise, and SharePoint.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or a related field.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• At least 8 years of experience in CE&I, transportation construction, or materials testing.

• Proven experience working directly with contractors and field personnel.

• Familiarity with AASHTOWare and ProjectWise is preferred.

• Willingness to travel to project locations, including occasional overnight stays.

• Valid driver’s license.
