This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer project management and operational assistance to the designated supervisor.
• Construct and uphold the master project plan for the conference team.
• Create timelines and milestones for key elements of the conference.
• Monitor progress across all conference teams, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
• Follow up with team leaders regarding their deliverables.
• Identify potential bottlenecks and risks.
• Elevate issues that require decisions from leadership.
• Keep the Conference Director updated on developments.
• Coordinate the operational systems that support the conference.
• Manage registration processes, volunteer systems, venue logistics, room setup/AV coordination, transportation/hospitality, supply management, and emergency planning.
• Develop and maintain the conference budget.
• Monitor operational expenditures, keeping track of costs to ensure the conference remains within budget.
• Lead onsite operations during the event.
• Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith.
• Strong evidence of high Emotional Intelligence competency.
• Proven ability to navigate power and relational dynamics within a multi-layered organization.
• Demonstrated ability and commitment to thrive in a diverse team environment.
• Possess outstanding social, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Exhibit exceptional organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Project management skills, including the capacity to monitor and coordinate a wide variety of reports.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Proven commitment to reliability and maintaining a consistent office presence.
• Adaptable and capable of altering priorities as work demands change.
• Ability to organize events, manage workflow, and handle intricate details while working under tight deadlines.
• Displays learning agility and openness to acquiring new concepts, skills, and methods.

• Strong analytical skills.
• Proven ability to support the success of a senior leader and/or ministry/department.
• Familiarity with web communications strategies.
• Prior experience with InterVarsity or other campus ministry is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in current Microsoft software applications (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel as necessary for planning meetings or ministry events.
• A minimum of one year of experience with communications responsibilities (internal or external) is required; two or more years are strongly preferred.
• At least two years of experience in significant administrative/operational roles.
