This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Pre-Stressed Concrete Inspector is tasked with overseeing the quality assurance processes at the fabrication facility on behalf of Bureau Veritas's client.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to identify the specific requirements for each work order, covering the scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget associated with the assignment.
• Engage in communication with the Project Manager, fabrication shops, contractors, and other stakeholders to address scheduling conflicts.
• Ensure that all services rendered meet the project specifications and adhere to the contractual agreement with the client.
• Efficiently generate and manage timesheets, billing reports, and inspection reports, ensuring compliance with all relevant deadlines.
• All documentation must be typewritten using Microsoft Word/Adobe Acrobat and electronically submitted to the Project Manager.
• Relay information from the fabrication facility regarding upcoming projects and potential opportunities for Bureau Veritas.
• Foster and maintain a positive working relationship between Bureau Veritas, the fabrication facility, and the client.
• Capability to work remotely from the established Bureau Veritas offices.
• Client-focused approach with a strong emphasis on understanding and meeting client needs.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality control and assurance; able to comprehend and review complex design and fabrication plans and specifications.
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical issues to the Project Manager, clients, and the fabrication facility.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Lotus Notes is preferred.
• Skilled in using modern communication and computing equipment, including cell phones, laptops, and digital cameras.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and effectively manage several concurrent assignments without compromising efficiency or quality.
• Team-oriented individual willing to collaborate with clients, field staff, other Bureau Veritas offices, and the global Bureau Veritas network.
• Minimum of three years in concrete construction, including at least one year in precast or prestressed construction.
• REQUIRED - ACI Level I Field Technician Certification
• REQUIRED - PCI Level II Certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
• Capable of preparing reports in both hard copy (written) and on a PC.
• High level of computer literacy with the ability to competently use a PC and Microsoft applications, including MS Word and MS Excel.
• Proficient in taking and transferring digital photographs to Word documents or MS Excel report cells.
