Concepteur – Level Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Define, organize, and construct levels, rigorously refining them through testing and the incorporation of feedback.

• Collaborate with visual and meshing teams to guarantee exceptional visual quality while preserving gameplay enjoyment.

• Partner with design and programming teams to develop captivating maps and integrate new features into existing levels.

• Take ownership of levels from initial design concepts through whitebox development, scripting, iteration, debugging, optimization, and final delivery.

• Engage in dedicated, established Strike Teams.

• Occasionally assist in onboarding new team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally, 3+ years of professional experience in level design.

• Experience in shipping AAA titles.

• Comprehensive knowledge of level design principles, encompassing landmarks, pathways, lines of sight, and combat arenas.

• Proficiency in Maya, 3DS Max, or comparable 3D software.

• Familiarity with visual scripting techniques.

• Experience utilizing bug-tracking tools, preferably JIRA.

• Ability to effectively process, understand, and apply feedback.

• General knowledge of creative and game development workflows.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Open-minded, collaborative team player mentality.

• Strong work ethic and self-driven.

• Proficiency in English is a must, as the role necessitates regular communication with international colleagues, partners, and stakeholders outside of Québec.

• Candidates must reside in Canada.

• Candidates should have a background in the gaming industry.
