Computational Biology – AI Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ghana, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create intricate scientific workflows across computational life sciences that involve multiple analytical and computational phases.

• Generate realistic scientific datasets, input files, guidelines, constraints, and anticipated deliverables.

• Develop tasks that require AI agents to analyze data, choose suitable methods, perform analyses, and resolve intermediate findings.

• Implement reproducible expert solutions and objectively verifiable ground truths.

• Establish robust automated or semi-automated grading criteria for scientific assignments.

• Validate scientific assumptions, calculations, code, intermediate outputs, and final outcomes.

• Ensure that task dependencies, data, and computational resources can be consistently packaged in controlled settings.

• Develop workflows utilizing Python, command-line tools, scientific libraries, and pertinent domain-specific software.

• Ensure that tasks evaluate scientific reasoning and execution rather than rote memorization.

• Maintain high standards of task quality and throughput while integrating feedback from reviewers.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD, postdoctoral experience, or equivalent research background in Life Sciences or a closely related discipline.

• Proficient Python programming skills with proven experience in scientific computing.

• Experience in conducting multi-step computational scientific analyses.

• Familiarity with scientific datasets and computational tools.

• Capability to independently validate scientific reasoning, calculations, and computational results.

• Experience in developing reproducible computational workflows and confirming expected outcomes.

• Knowledge of scientific libraries, command-line tools, or domain-specific life sciences software.

• Background in scientific research involving computational methods, data analysis, or scientific programming.
