This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with wet lab scientists to create experiments and evaluate historical and experimental data.
• Analyze DNA sequencing data to detect outliers, conduct quality control, generate descriptive figures, and address statistical inquiries.
• Lead the design of statistical analyses for IVD-level products and QC method development studies, adhering to CLSI and Design Control guidelines.
• Write and contribute to study protocols, data analyses, and comprehensive reports.
• Facilitate consensus approval of development study protocols with technical stakeholders to ensure compliance with business, CLIA/CAP, ISO, and FDA standards.
• Utilize internal processes and tools for efficient document creation and lifecycle management.
• Analyze NGS immunosequencing data and devise statistical methods for handling complex, large datasets.
• Present findings to senior leadership, clinicians, executives, and other varied audiences.
• Address challenges, communicate effectively, ask insightful questions, and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Computational Biologist I: PhD, or MS/MA degree with 8 years of pertinent experience.
• Computational Biologist II: PhD with 2+ years of experience, or MS/MA degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Senior Computational Biologist: PhD with 5+ years of experience, or MS/MA degree with 13+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in at least one coding or scripting language such as Python or R is required for the Senior level and preferred for lower levels.
• Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in presenting technical content to diverse or multidisciplinary groups.
• Experience in managing, manipulating, and interpreting large or complex datasets.
• Skill in identifying anomalous and inconsistent data points.
• Ability to consider potential outcomes when designing analyses and integrate findings with related dependencies.
• Capacity to communicate project and status updates independently.
• Experience in delivering technical content at departmental or cross-functional meetings.
