This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance Rula’s Compliance program by overseeing medical records operations and coordinating external audits.
• Manage daily medical records activities.
• Supervise vendor and team performance.
• Oversee external audits from initiation to findings and resolution.
• Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, Clinical, Financial Operations, Partnerships, and other stakeholders.
• Convert regulatory requirements into effective, sustainable processes.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in managing or coordinating external audits, regulatory reviews, or similar oversight activities.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in healthcare privacy, medical records, release-of-information processes, or health information management.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, health information management, compliance, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with business stakeholders, including Legal, on compliance issues and risks.
• Excellent and succinct verbal and written communication skills.
• 3+ years of experience in interpreting regulatory, contractual, and operational requirements and translating them into actionable processes.
• Master’s Degree and/or Juris Doctor or equivalent advanced training in healthcare law (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in telehealth, privacy, and/or behavioral health compliance (preferred).
• Experience with third-party medical records fulfillment vendors (preferred).
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Zendesk, electronic health record systems, and healthcare practice management platforms (preferred).
• Certification in compliance, privacy, audit, or health information management (preferred).
• Experience overseeing operational workflows, vendors, staff, or cross-functional projects (preferred).
• Must reside in the United States; Rula is currently not hiring in Hawaii.
