This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate strategy and deliver continuous oversight and monitoring for business sectors related to MHPAEA compliance and other enterprise compliance requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop annual work plans to audit and evaluate operational performance.
• Comprehend operational workflows and pinpoint opportunities for risk mitigation.
• Analyze and articulate regulatory and contractual obligations for execution by internal teams and external partners.
• Engage with and present findings to external regulators.
• Supervise and conduct auditing and monitoring for business sectors engaged in MHPAEA compliance and Wellness operations.
• Inform RC leadership about primary risks, remediation strategies, and other critical information.
• Manage the submission of reports, filings, and attestations to both state and federal regulatory bodies.
• Record issues and opportunities in Enterprise Solution Point (ESP/Archer).
• Collaborate across Humana Business Operations to improve data analytics and operational enhancement initiatives.
• Conduct assessments, formulate action plans, and offer guidance to various business areas.
• Influence both enterprise and departmental strategy.
• Report directly to a Director of Compliance as an individual contributor.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in legal or compliance roles.
• At least 2 years of experience in project leadership.
• Capacity to make decisions on moderately and significantly complex matters independently.
• Extensive knowledge of intricate regulatory requirements.
• Capability to provide recommendations to Medicaid market leadership.
• Ability to define objectives and approaches to tasks with substantial autonomy.
• MBA and/or JD preferred.
• Familiarity with healthcare operations and healthcare audits preferred.
• Understanding of MHPAEA and other Mental Health Parity regulations preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations preferred.
• Proven ability to prioritize and lead individuals in large-scale, high-visibility projects preferred.
• Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and influence business partners and leadership preferred.
• Minimum home internet download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.
