Compliance Generalist – Enterprise Risk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, audit, advise, and conduct research on compliance activities within designated high-risk healthcare sectors.

• Facilitate timely investigations into compliance breaches or potential risks.

• Aid in the monitoring, tracking, and reporting processes for operational compliance.

• Collaborate with leaders, associates, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding compliance issues, policies, audits, and monitoring efforts.

• Investigate regulations, laws, and policies relevant to healthcare compliance.

• Prepare engagement letters and review pertinent records.

• Recognize opportunities for improvement and implement, as well as monitor, corrective action plans.

• Manage reports of possible non-compliance and address inquiries received via the compliance Helpline.

• Engage in focus-area workgroups and committees.

• Coordinate daily operational tasks with compliance vendor systems and oversee the resolution of service-related issues.

• Create reports, mitigation strategies, and risk assessments collaboratively with other Compliance Generalists.

• Assist in the design and delivery of compliance education and training programs.

• Research and propose modifications for annual reviews of compliance policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare operations, business administration, or a related field (mandatory).

• 1–3 years of experience in healthcare compliance (mandatory).

• Certification in Healthcare Compliance from the Healthcare Compliance Association (preferred).

• Familiarity with healthcare systems (preferred).

• Understanding of healthcare laws (preferred).

• Maintain a working knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, OIG, Stark, Anti-Kickback, and other essential healthcare regulations.

• Basic knowledge of auditing and monitoring protocols.

• Skills in drafting, editing, and maintaining policies and procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Capability to navigate electronic medical record systems.

• Experience in compliance data collection and analysis.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to uphold confidentiality and demonstrate ethical judgment.

• Competence to work independently with minimal supervision.
