This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee comprehensive KYB onboarding and due diligence processes for corporate clients.
• Analyze intricate ownership frameworks, ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs), directors, and related entities.
• Evaluate clients operating within fintech, payments, foreign exchange, financial services, and other high-risk industries.
• Perform customer risk evaluations and determine when enhanced due diligence (EDD) is necessary.
• Examine sources of funds, sources of wealth, and anticipated business/payment activities as required.
• Execute screening for politically exposed persons (PEPs), sanctions, and adverse media, and escalate significant issues.
• Draft clear onboarding summaries and provide recommendations for Compliance approval.
• Assist in conducting periodic and event-triggered reviews of current customers.
• Support transaction monitoring alerts, investigations, and the escalation of any unusual transactions.
• Collaborate effectively with Compliance, Operations, and Commercial teams to resolve onboarding inquiries promptly.
• Ensure precise compliance documentation and verify that onboarding files adhere to internal and regulatory standards.
• Ideally possess 3–4 years of experience in KYC/KYB, onboarding, or financial crime compliance.
• Strong preference for candidates with a background in an Electronic Money Institution (EMI), payment institution, fintech, foreign exchange, or banking sector.
• Solid understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF), sanctions, PEPs, UBO identification, and corporate structures.
• Capability to analyze information independently and document compliance decisions clearly.
• Experience in reviewing international and higher-risk business clientele.
• Familiarity with complex or high-risk businesses, particularly in fintech, payments, foreign exchange, cryptocurrency, or other financial services.
• Knowledge of compliance and screening tools such as ComplyAdvantage, Dow Jones, World-Check, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of UK/EU AML regulations and the compliance expectations for EMIs and payment institutions.
• ACAMS, ICA, or another relevant qualification in financial crime or compliance is preferred.
