This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Proactively and strategically oversees a multifaceted claim inventory by evaluating complex claims issues, leveraging jurisdictional expertise for effective oversight, and guiding the handling process to achieve optimal resolutions.
• Serves as the organizational subject matter expert for business lines and key jurisdictions regarding intricate claim matters.
• Employs comprehensive knowledge of all facets of claims handling to assess exposure; recommends and directs action plans for resolving issues or cases.
• Clearly articulates and documents concise file notes to enable stakeholders to comprehend the issues and the path toward resolution.
• Facilitates collaborative discussions with groups and teams; engages relevant internal and external resources as necessary.
• Provides technical leadership and maintains shared ownership of complex claim issues; fosters a culture of continuous quality improvement through influence.
• A minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or a suitable combination of education and experience is required.
• EXPERIENCE IN AUTO & GENERAL LIABILITY IS MANDATORY.
• Knowledge and experience with NY Labor Law are required.
• Some prior leadership experience is necessary.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Relevant professional certification related to the line of business is preferred.
• Jurisdiction Knowledge: national coverage is necessary.
