Community Stroke Navigator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with communities to build relationships, identify needs, and assist individuals in understanding and managing their stroke risk.

• Engage closely with those impacted by stroke, community organizations, healthcare providers, and other essential stakeholders.

• Enhance community resilience and overall wellbeing.

• Link individuals to appropriate information and resources.

• Strengthen local capabilities.

• Maximize the effectiveness of Stroke Aotearoa’s efforts throughout the region.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in the health, community, rehabilitation, or disability sectors.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Proficient in empathetic communication and effective engagement with diverse age groups and stakeholders.

• Experience working with vulnerable and varied communities.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Capable of facilitating training and educational initiatives in the community.

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Suite products, specifically MS Word, TEAMS, and PowerPoint.

• Competent in general information technology.

• Ability to function both independently and as part of a larger team.

• Willingness to travel regionally, including occasional overnight stays.

• Must possess a full, clean driver’s license.

• Currently eligible to work in New Zealand.
