This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Assess and oversee contributions from the community.
• Evaluate community pull requests (PRs) by providing clear, actionable feedback and assist in maintaining a two-week review service level agreement (SLA).
• Guide contributors through the review process to ensure they comprehend the requirements to advance their PRs.
• Enhance and automate the management process of community contributions as n8n’s builder community continues to expand.
• Elevate the quality of contributions and ensure product reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs within the n8n codebase that affect contributors, nodes, or workflow functionality.
• Collaborate with external APIs, SDKs, authentication workflows, and node logic to pinpoint root causes and deliver dependable solutions.
• Follow contributions until completion, providing regular updates, testing, and working closely with maintainers.
• Support community nodes, documentation, and enhancements to nodes.
• Evaluate community nodes to guarantee they align with n8n’s standards for quality, security, and usability.
• Make specific adjustments to documentation that assist users and contributors in understanding how to build, test, and enhance workflows.
• Engage in node enhancements and related engineering tasks that simplify extending and maintaining n8n.
• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript: You possess extensive practical experience in building, debugging, and maintaining production-level JavaScript or TypeScript code.
• Debugging skills: You are capable of investigating bugs in a codebase that relies on external dependencies, such as APIs, SDKs, and third-party services.
• Knowledge of APIs and authentication: You have a solid understanding of REST APIs and common authentication methods, including OAuth and API keys.
• Familiarity with n8n or workflow automation: You know how to build and test workflows, with basic node development being a significant advantage.
• Comfort with CLI and package managers: You are at ease using command-line interface tools and package managers like npm or pnpm.
• Clear written communication: You can articulate your thoughts clearly and constructively in asynchronous community environments such as PR comments, review threads, and discussions with contributors.
• Attention to detail: You diligently follow up on open discussions, bugs, reviews, and edge cases until they are fully resolved.
• Collaborative attitude: You maintain a low-ego approach, welcome feedback, and are driven by a desire to assist others in contributing successfully.

• Experience in open-source contributions: You have participated in open-source projects, even if through minor fixes, documentation updates, or community PRs.
• Technical experience in community-facing roles: You have experience in a position where you supported developers, contributors, or technical community members directly.
• Experience in startups or developer tooling: You have worked in a Series A/B startup or a company focused on developer tools and understand the pace and uncertainty of rapidly growing teams.
