Community Engagement Specialist – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Monitor pertinent subreddits for conversations concerning our brand and products.

• Engage in Reddit discussions by delivering genuinely helpful and informative responses that naturally showcase the value of Study.com when appropriate.

• Establish a credible and trusted presence across relevant subreddits through consistent, long-term interaction.

• Identify trending topics, challenges, and inquiries within the online education sector to guide engagement opportunities.

• Track mentions of the Study.com brand on Reddit and promptly respond to inquiries, reviews, and comments in an authentic manner.

• Report negative sentiment, misinformation, or competitor mentions to the team for escalation.

• Submit daily activity logs including links to all posts, comments, and interactions made during each shift.

• Provide weekly performance summaries that highlight successes, challenges, and recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience engaging on Reddit (i.e., a Reddit account that is at least 2 years old with an established history) OR at least 2 years of community engagement experience on alternative platforms.

• Extensive knowledge of Reddit's ecosystem, including subreddit cultures, community norms, posting etiquette, and factors that may lead to content being flagged or removed.

• Excellent writing skills with a natural, conversational tone; ability to create responses that prioritize helpfulness and information before promotion.

• Comprehension of how engagement within community platforms enhances brand visibility and contributes to Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).

• Self-driven and capable of sustaining consistent engagement over the long term without direct supervision.
