This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Actively pursue new residential sales opportunities for Metronet across various markets and states.
• Identify, coordinate, and implement strategic market development plans aimed at sustaining and boosting residential sales.
• Establish new opportunities by fostering relationships with residential housing contractors, single-family Homeowner Associations, and Utility Companies.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Community Development Operations, Outside Plant, and Residential Sales.
• Develop and sustain a targeted sales strategy through comprehensive research and analysis of the territory.
• Engage and negotiate with developers, builders, city officials, and Homeowner Associations.
• Leverage multiple resources such as internal maps, Google Earth, GIS maps, and FCC Broadband intelligence to assess residential growth prospects.
• Execute the process from concept to completion to secure new residential customers.
• Partner with Finance, Marketing, and Legal to create quick revenue-generating opportunities.
• Utilize the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to effectively manage and track pipeline and projects.
• Cultivate existing relationships and forge new connections with local relevant organizations.
• Participate in local community, governmental, and economic development events.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
• Familiarity with Access Laws, regulations, and FCC requirements (Inside Wiring Rules) is essential.
• Proven experience in working with and communicating to C-Suite executives.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
• Outstanding organizational and project management abilities, along with strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
• Previous experience in operations, marketing, or other facets of the real estate industry is preferred.
• Willingness to travel for training or as required.
