This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver engaging educational instruction through **individual tutoring, small group sessions, or tailored student support initiatives** based on your expertise and our students' requirements.
• Establish a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere that aids students in building confidence, enhancing skills, and accomplishing academic objectives.
• Customize lessons, activities, and teaching methods to accommodate each student’s learning preferences, academic levels, and aspirations.
• Assist students across a diverse range of subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, study techniques, and other educational areas.
• Employ creative and captivating techniques to make learning accessible, meaningful, and enjoyable.
• Offer tailored support for students with special educational requirements, learning differences, and specific academic or behavioral targets.
• Apply strategies that align with student learning plans, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives when necessary.
• Promote students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development through patient and consistent support.
• Track student progress and modify instructional strategies to foster ongoing growth.
• Communicate effectively with families, guardians, and educational teams when necessary.
• Keep precise session notes and documentation to facilitate student success.
• Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and supportive educational environment where students feel inspired and empowered.
• Act as a positive mentor and role model while assisting students in realizing their full potential.
• Reside in California with the capability to reliably travel to student locations within your designated area.
• Enrollment in an accredited college/university or possession of an AA, BA, or higher degree (degrees or coursework in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related fields are advantageous).
• Background in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, coaching, childcare, or other youth-focused positions.
• Experience in supporting students with varying learning styles, academic needs, special education requirements, or behavioral adjustments is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication abilities, along with patience, empathy, adaptability, and the skill to create engaging, student-centric learning experiences.
• Capability to forge positive relationships with students, families, and educational teams when applicable.
• Proficiency in Spanish or additional language skills is a plus.
• Ability to successfully undergo a comprehensive background check.
