• Craft captivating community content by sourcing, developing, and narrating stories that enliven our community (such as contributor highlights, project showcases, and 'how I got started' features). Assist in establishing a recognizable community voice throughout.
• Maintain an active and authentic daily presence in our Discord server (welcoming new members, addressing inquiries, organizing events like AMAs or watch parties, identifying content that can be showcased, and collaborating with moderators to ensure a healthy and inviting server environment that embodies our values).
• Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to oversee and enhance our social media presence across essential platforms, ensuring that content is consistent, engaging, and genuinely reflective of our identity—beyond mere posts to fill a calendar, but rather content that ignites meaningful discussions.
• Assist the Events Manager in executing conferences, community meetups, and our representation at industry events like IFA, which includes practical elements (logistics, communication, platform setup, promotions, and recaps). This role will involve logistics support for both virtual and in-person events, including travel arrangements.
• Aid in our contributor recognition program, contribute to the creation of desirable swag ideas, and collaborate with the Community Department to ensure timely delivery of appropriate items to the right individuals.
• Highlight community videos, event recaps, social reels, and tutorial content—there are ample opportunities for content creation.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in community management, social media, content creation, or communications, or another role that has adequately prepared you for this position.
• Proven experience managing social media accounts with genuine engagement metrics, not just follower numbers.
• Practical experience with Discord, whether through server management, channel moderation, community building, or being deeply involved in a community.
• Some background in event management, whether in organizing them, executing them, or being the individual who always ensures things run smoothly on the day.
• Ability to stay organized enough to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously without losing track, while also being adaptable to changes as they arise.
• Video editing skills are a significant advantage.
• Professional proficiency in English: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities in English.
• European Residency: You must currently reside in and be eligible to work within Europe.
• Twenty-five days of paid time off.
• Fourteen days of paid sick leave if your country/laws classify them as unpaid.
• A budget for your work hardware upon your commencement. After three years, you may retain this equipment for personal use.
• A 50% contribution towards your internet connection fee at your home workspace.
• One day every two weeks dedicated to working on your personal projects.
• If you are currently engaged in Home Assistant-related side projects, you can allocate work time to maintain them.
