Communications Strategy and Performance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Spearhead H&R Block's enterprise listening initiative to assess reputation, stakeholder sentiment, competitor dynamics, and industry developments.

• Track brand perception across traditional media, digital platforms, AI-driven search tools, and generative AI technologies.

• Deliver data-driven insights to shape communications, public relations, and executive messaging strategies.

• Identify emerging risks, trends, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.

• Evaluate the impact of company news, significant announcements, and reputational events to assess effectiveness and inform future communications.

• Analyze feedback from internal and external audiences, engagement metrics, and performance indicators to extract valuable insights.

• Convert complex data into concise reports, executive summaries, and recommendations tailored for various stakeholders.

• Collaborate with communications and PR teams to enhance issue management, crisis response, and reputation safeguarding initiatives.

• Develop and sustain dashboards and reporting frameworks that offer insights into brand and reputational health.

• Utilize AI-driven monitoring and intelligence tools while exercising sound judgment in interpretation, escalation, and decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in communications, media intelligence, or a related area.

• Extensive expertise in media monitoring and social listening platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Cision, or similar).

• Demonstrated ability to distill intricate data into concise, executive-ready narratives that prompt action.

• Strong instincts for identifying reputational risks.

• Experience collaborating with content teams in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to influence effectively.
