This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create communication materials that align with the EHR Modernization Communication Strategy and the VHA's organizational change management initiatives.
• Engage in stakeholder outreach and foster connections regarding system modifications, upgrades, and procedural updates.
• Write, revise, and oversee the production of announcements, newsletters, talking points, briefings, FAQs, and leadership communications in accordance with VHA standards and templates.
• Assist in communication planning for change-readiness initiatives, Go-Live events, and updates following Go-Live operations.
• Manage the review and approval processes for communications in collaboration with Government stakeholders.
• Keep communication calendars and tracking systems up to date.
• Evaluate the reach and effectiveness of communications, providing recommendations for enhancements to channels and messaging.
• Facilitate internal team communications, prepare meeting materials, and create presentations for executive-level audiences.
• A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is required.
• At least 4 years of experience in communications or public relations, particularly in developing communications for large organizations.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending the English language.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable VA background investigation at the Low Risk / NACI level, including electronic fingerprinting and e-QIP submission.
• All tasks must be carried out within the United States.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the continental United States to VA Medical Centers for approximately 5-day site visits to support EHR Go-Live and Post Go-Live activities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• A strong preference for candidates with experience in SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Desired experience in communications within healthcare or health IT programs, particularly related to VA/VHA or EHR modernization.
• Preferred experience in supporting organizational change management communications aligned with Prosci methodology.
• Strong writing and editing capabilities along with proficiency in SharePoint Online and presentation design are desired.
• Opportunities for remote work within the United States via VA-approved remote access.
• Occasional travel within the continental United States to VA Medical Centers for approximately 5-day site visits, as authorized by the Government.
