Communications Site Auditor / Field Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive audits across a variety of site types, such as prefabricated equipment shelters, commercial dispatch centers, and co-located towers to ensure adherence to the Motorola Solutions 'Standards and Guidelines for Communication Sites' (R56) manual.

• Assess all essential R56 disciplines, including Building Design, External Grounding and Bonding, Internal Bonding and Grounding, Power Sources, Surge Protective Devices (SPDs), and Equipment Installation.

• Identify and document all known life safety concerns, regardless of the party accountable.

• Record and communicate electrical defects, insulation deterioration, and indications of galvanic corrosion within commercial facilities.

• Assist the Field Engineering team through proactive cross-training and support with departmental responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in one of the following areas: R56, Audits, Electronics, LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Two-Way Radio experience, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Motorola equipment, Telecommunications, Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or equivalent Military experience.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.

• U.S. citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain the necessary security clearance as mandated by government contract(s).
