This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Assist AARP state offices in developing captivating, branded content for various social media platforms, such as graphics, videos, and posts.
• Create graphic content that aligns with brand standards to enhance internal communications, including presentation decks, one-pagers, and other collateral materials.
• Support updates to state office websites and ensure a consistent, user-friendly experience.
• Contribute to advocacy and community engagement campaigns by designing templates, composing content, and gathering results for analysis.
• Aid in the production and editing of digital videos intended for promotional and informational purposes.
• Collaborate with team members to generate new ideas and ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines.
• Undertake additional tasks as necessary to bolster SCE communication efforts.
• Candidates must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university as rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or postdoctoral students, and remain academically enrolled throughout the duration of the internship.
• Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
• Experience in creating and publishing content for social media platforms like Facebook and X, as well as familiarity with social media publishing tools (e.g., Sprinklr).
• Knowledge of website management tools (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager) is advantageous.
• Preferred experience with video editing software, including iMovie, Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• A creative mindset with a keen attention to detail.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
