đź“‹ Description

• Act as the primary communications lead for two out of five operating companies, overseeing the entire scope of their monthly and quarterly internal communications—including publications, manager messaging, town hall support, and stakeholder coordination.

• Establish and nurture trusted working relationships with operating company leadership and program stakeholders, serving as an embedded communications partner who comprehends each audience's culture, priorities, and communication needs.

• Create and implement communications plans for the designated operating companies, managing timelines, approvals, and distribution with minimal supervision.

• Proactively identify communication gaps or opportunities within the assigned operating companies and present recommendations without being prompted.

• Oversee the complete production process of the organization's main internal newsletter, including content collection, writing, editing, and distribution—with related content repurposed and adapted for various channels such as the intranet, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Viva Engage.

• Generate a series of monthly internal publications tailored for different employee segments, including associate-focused content, manager communications, and new hire highlights.

• Organize recurring monthly employee engagement communications and meeting materials, ensuring content is timely, accurate, and customized for each audience.

• Maintain editorial calendars, publication schedules, and distribution lists for all assigned channels, proactively addressing conflicts or capacity issues before they escalate.

• Lead the planning and execution of annual employee engagement programs covering wellness, recognition, culture, and compliance—coordinating timelines, content, and distribution across multiple stakeholder groups.

• Assist with quarterly all-hands and town hall communications for the assigned operating companies, including logistics coordination, materials preparation, and messaging directed at employees.

• Develop and oversee project timelines, stakeholder touchpoints, and approval workflows—advancing work decisively and following up without being asked.

• Provide initial writing and editing support for content submitted by leaders and program managers; escalate executive-level content to the Manager of Communications for review and approval.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across Human Resources, Operations, and leadership teams as a trusted advisor, asking insightful questions to identify communication objectives and create effective solutions.

• Build cooperative relationships with executives and stakeholders throughout the organization to promote communications initiatives, facilitate informed decision-making, and deliver high-quality results.

• Partner with project teams from planning to implementation, incorporating communications strategies early to support business goals, organizational change, and employee engagement.

• Assist in documenting and standardizing channel strategies and communication standards, contributing to the long-term infrastructure of the Internal Communications function.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10 years of professional experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a closely related field, demonstrating a progression in responsibility.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Proven experience in independently leading internal communications initiatives—including planning, execution, and stakeholder management—rather than merely supporting a role.

• Outstanding writing and editing skills, with the capacity to adjust voice, tone, and format across various audiences, organizational levels, and communication channels.

• Strong project management abilities within a communications environment, including managing editorial calendars, publication schedules, and multi-stakeholder review and approval processes.

• Demonstrated capacity to cultivate collaborative, trusted relationships and operate as a proactive partner—someone who identifies the real issue, presents a recommendation, and follows through.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where priorities may shift, remaining energized rather than overwhelmed by complexity.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, and experienced with SharePoint, WordPress, or a similar intranet/content management platform.

• Familiar with Microsoft Teams, Slack, Viva Engage, or comparable employee communication channels.
