This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate and implement global category strategies for PCBAs, electronic components, EMS providers, and associated electronics commodities.
• Propel supplier rationalization, encourage the adoption of preferred suppliers, and consolidate spending across various business units and acquired entities.
• Assist in acquisition integration processes by assessing inherited supply bases, pinpointing synergies, mitigating risks, and applying sourcing standardization strategies.
• Create long-term commodity roadmaps that align with business growth objectives, regional strategies, and operational scalability.
• Establish and oversee strategic partnerships with key EMS providers, electronics manufacturers, and component suppliers worldwide.
• Conduct executive-level supplier reviews concentrating on cost, quality, delivery, capacity planning, technology alignment, and continuous improvement.
• Develop supplier performance metrics and accountability frameworks, which include: On-Time Delivery (OTD), PPM/Quality Performance, Lead Time Reduction, Cost Savings & PPV, and Responsiveness & Capacity Support.
• Initiate corrective actions and supplier development programs when performance discrepancies occur.
• Lead commercial negotiations related to pricing, contracts, payment terms, tooling, inventory strategies, and long-term supply agreements.
• Identify and implement initiatives for cost reduction, cost avoidance, and improvements in total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Formulate sourcing strategies that enhance supply continuity, establish dual sourcing, promote regional diversification, and align supplier capacity.
• Support due diligence for acquisitions involving electronics or PCBA supply chains.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Product Management to synchronize sourcing strategies with business goals.
• Drive process enhancements that increase sourcing efficiency, data visibility, supplier performance, and procurement scalability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain leadership within electronics manufacturing settings.
• Extensive experience managing EMS providers, PCBAs, electronic components, and global supplier relationships.
• Experience in supporting high-growth, multi-site, or acquisition-driven organizations is strongly preferred.
• Proven history of achieving measurable cost savings, enhancing supplier performance, and optimizing supply chains.
• Excellent skills in commercial negotiation and contract management.
• Comprehensive understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, component supply chains, and global market dynamics.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders within a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and high accountability.
• Experience with ERP systems, spend analytics, and supplier performance management tools is preferred.
• CPSM, CSCP, CPM, or similar certifications are advantageous.
