This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and provide support to OPTN committees dedicated to membership oversight, patient safety, and policy formulation.
• Organize and lead committee meetings, create agendas, prepare supporting documents, and guide discussions.
• Work in partnership with committee chairs and leadership to monitor activities and relay updates.
• Establish secure, efficient, and compliant virtual meeting protocols, which include technical assistance and post-meeting documentation.
• Create and uphold committee management plans that encompass activities, milestones, composition, and outputs.
• Draft governance documents, operational manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), member selection processes, decision-making responsibilities, and conflict-of-interest records.
• Develop public-facing materials detailing committee activities, achievements, and membership.
• Back evidence-based practices in organ transplantation and allocation policy creation.
• Write policy proposals, guidance documents, public comment reports, and recommendations for the board.
• Ensure that proposed policies comply with CMS, HRSA, federal, and organizational standards.
• Maintain documentation necessary for policy audits and regulatory compliance reporting.
• Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data using Excel, Tableau, or NVivo.
• Provide reports and dashboards that reflect committee outputs, performance trends, and policy impacts.
• Monitor committee projects and policy proposals from their initiation to implementation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for committee members and stakeholders, addressing operational challenges.
• Engage with the transplant community to collect feedback and foster collaboration.
• Collaborate with contractors, OPTN support teams, IT, and policy specialists.
• Lead the onboarding process for committee members and develop annual training plans.
• Conduct virtual training sessions and maintain a secure collection of training resources.
• Execute a subject matter expertise strategy for clinical, analytical, policy, and risk-management contributors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• A Master’s degree (MPH, MPP, MHA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in committee coordination, project management, or policy development.
• Experience in healthcare, compliance, regulatory, and/or nonprofit sectors.
• Proven experience facilitating meetings and engaging diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to conduct virtual committee meetings and steer collaborative decision-making.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of policy drafting, federal regulations, and evidence-based research methodologies.
• Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis using Tableau, NVivo, and Excel.
• Familiarity with CMS and HRSA healthcare regulations.
• Capability to prepare comprehensive reports, agendas, and governance documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Teams.
• Skilled in the use of virtual meeting platforms and committee documentation systems.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• NACI (T1) public trust requirement.
