Commissioning Project Manager II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Oversee the overall execution of projects, ensuring deliverables meet accuracy standards and align with project scope.

• Collaborate with commissioning teams and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and fulfill client needs.

• Monitor project KPIs and performance metrics to promote continuous improvement and sustain project health.

• Manage project budgets and coordinate resource utilization across various projects.

• Develop and maintain project scope trackers, resource calendars, and forecasts.

• Track and communicate project status and execution updates to clients as well as internal and external stakeholders.

• Ensure proposals and project scopes are clear, comprehensive, and devoid of ambiguity.

• Implement corrective measures when discrepancies in scope or performance are identified.

• Create commissioning scopes of work and accurate pricing for tasks and projects in collaboration with the Cx Director and Business Development team.

• Engage in new project interviews and seek new opportunities with potential clients.

• Offer training and mentorship to the commissioning team.

• Contribute to the development of commissioning standards and processes.

• Formulate Owner’s Project Requirements, lead commissioning design reviews, assess commissioning specifications and plans, and supervise functional testing and owner training.

• Encourage accountability, teamwork, and a culture of continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning or a related field, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, automatic temperature control systems, or building operations management.

• Proven ability to interact professionally with owners, their representatives, contractors, and design teams.

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple ongoing projects in a dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with the construction industry and a general understanding of the Company's competitors.

• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and set project priorities for timely and accurate completion.

• Engineering Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role is preferred.

• Project Management Certification (PMP, PgMP, etc.) is preferred.

• Commissioning Certification (e.g., NEBB, ACG, BCxA, ASHRAE, etc.) is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud-based commissioning software platforms is preferred.

• Willingness to travel 25–40% of the time.

• Capability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles; climb stairs; work in confined spaces; and operate machinery and/or power tools.

• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
