
Commissioning Manager – HVDC Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the cost estimation and scheduling for commissioning activities.
• Establish and execute subcontracting strategies that align with EHS, Quality, Planning & Sourcing.
• Develop tender documentation related to commissioning.
• Organize and plan both temporary and permanent site infrastructure.
• Provide support for projects from initial development through to completion.
• Plan, mobilize, and monitor commissioning teams on-site.
• Create and synchronize commissioning schedules with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Track progress, quality, and EHS performance in accordance with company standards.
• Work closely with Engineering to ensure the timely provision of technical data and documentation.
• Prepare and maintain all commissioning documentation (e.g., ITPs, reports, NCRs).
• Lead international commissioning teams on-site for electrical infrastructure projects.
• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification is essential.
• Several years of hands-on experience in commissioning and management, particularly within: Substations (HV/MV), Power generation/power plants, or Transmission & distribution projects.
• Prior experience as a Commissioning Manager or in a similar role on large-scale electrical projects.
• Familiarity with several of the following systems is preferred: High- and medium-voltage switchgear (up to 400 kV), Power transformers, Protection & Control systems, SCADA, Grid connection/electrical systems.
• HVDC experience is advantageous but not required.
• Strong grasp of electrical safety standards (HV safety rules).
• Experience with international projects is a plus.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swedish is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel across Europe and Asia, including on-site work.
• Physically fit for offshore assignments.
