Commercial/Business Litigation Attorney, Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Provide remote, on-demand assistance for both short-term and long-term legal projects for our client law firms.

• Manage an active litigation caseload.

• Handle commercial and business litigation cases from initiation to trial or resolution.

• Draft relevant legal documents.

• Conduct legal research and prepare motions.

• Engage in hearings, mediations, and negotiations.

• Communicate effectively with clients and oversee case progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and business litigation in Florida.

• Active member in good standing of The Florida Bar.

• Extensive experience managing commercial and business litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution.

• Proficient in drafting complaints, answers, affirmative defenses, motions, memoranda, and other complex litigation pleadings.

• Strong skills in motion practice and legal research.

• Experience overseeing all stages of discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery, document review, depositions, and resolving discovery disputes.

• Proven experience in handling hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and case strategy.

• In-depth knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and state court litigation practices.

• Experience representing businesses in contract disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, business torts, and other intricate commercial litigation matters.

• Ability to independently manage an active litigation caseload while adhering to court deadlines.

• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy abilities.

• Strong client communication and case management skills.

• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and proactively advancing matters with minimal supervision.
