This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Offer underwriting assistance, advice, and authorization to company staff and clients regarding the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies.
• Employ underwriting standards and guidelines within assigned authority limits to underwrite the issuance of title insurance.
• Provide support to company personnel in executing real estate settlement services.
• Establish underwriting standards and guidelines following the company’s established procedures.
• 8-10 years of experience in title underwriting, with a preference for commercial experience.
• A Law Degree is required, with admission to practice law in the state of employment.
• Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing.
• Familiarity with real estate law is essential.
• A strong grasp of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures related to real estate title and settlement processes.
• Demonstrated analytical rigor and business acumen.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to provide alternative solutions or communicate difficult information tactfully.
• Capable of collaboration and decisive action; skilled in building relationships both internally and externally.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up in a timely manner.
