Commercial Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to provide all-encompassing service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and various specialty food service equipment.

• Exhibit your mechanical skills, troubleshooting abilities, and proficiency in interpreting diagrams and schematics.

• Effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment, encompassing cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialty food service apparatus.

• Liaise with manufacturers as necessary to assist with diagnostics and parts identification.

• Seek support from the Technical Assistance Group for technical guidance while on-site.

• Efficiently install all parts ordered for the customer in a timely and professional manner, adhering to company policies.

• Suggest and promote additional services offered by Smart Care to customers when appropriate.

• Create accurate and timely administrative documents, such as work orders, time reports, receipts, and truck stock inventory.

• Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention protocols.

• Keep a tidy and organized service vehicle, along with maintaining accurate parts and tool inventories.

• Sustain productivity levels in line with company standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of 1 year of technical experience in refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.

• Willingness and capability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation, which includes nights and weekends.

• Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned.
