This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Provide support to the Servicing and Asset Management department by overseeing insurance monitoring and compliance for commercial loans.
• Ensure quality control and supervision of insurance waiver requests, blanket analyses, flood analyses, and force placements.
• Act as the portfolio team leader and subject matter expert on lender guidelines, procedures, and requirements.
• Review and authorize premium disbursements.
• Assist in the preparation for Insurance Team audits and responses.
• Collaborate with insurance-related vendors to guarantee timely deliverables, product quality, and oversight.
• Mentor, train, and lead Insurance Analysts.
• Oversee team compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Keep track of insurance renewals and the documentation for the assigned portfolio to ensure timely compliance.
• Review, analyze, and interpret property and liability insurance policies related to commercial real estate loans.
• Examine loan and collateral data, including replacement costs, loss of income calculations, third-party reports, and local ordinances.
• Conduct blanket and flood analyses for complex policies.
• Communicate with lenders, borrowers, insurance agents, and insurance companies to address non-compliance issues.
• Collect documentation and evaluate the feasibility and risks for lender insurance waiver requests.
• Monitor non-compliance escalations for potential force placements and facilitate force-placed insurance.
• Review casualty losses and provide clients with advice regarding insurance coverage and loss proceeds requirements.
• Assist with new loan setups, significant events, loan transfers, flood zone monitoring, audit data collection, system enhancement testing, and special projects.
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert to resolve insurance-related discrepancies.
• Update loan servicing systems, shared drives, and lender applications thoroughly and in a timely manner.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Act as the primary insurance contact for an assigned portfolio.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Property insurance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various types of commercial property insurance policies and the ability to read and interpret them.
• Experience in commercial insurance agency and/or servicing roles.
• Background in insurance compliance, including knowledge of coverage discrepancies, industry standards, and government regulations.
• Understanding of complex loan documents and third-party reports such as appraisals, surveys, and title reports.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and customers at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency in PC skills, including Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Exceptional time management skills and the ability to multitask, follow through on commitments, meet deadlines, and drive results.
• Capability to perform well under pressure and within tight time constraints, including handling high volumes and working overtime if necessary.

• Preferred insurance certifications/designations such as CIC, ARM, AU, CLCS, CPCU, or CISR.
• Preferred background in commercial multifamily insurance compliance relating to FNMA, FHLMC, and FHA/GNMA.
• Prior leadership experience is preferred.
• Preferred experience in commercial real estate loan servicing.
